Car Parts agent
Software that car repair workshops use to search and order parts at their parts dealers.
What it is
Each workshop runs Car Parts on a PC at the workshop. When someone at the workshop searches for a part or places an order, that PC asks the workshop's dealers, with the workshop's own customer account at each dealer. It acts only on a person's request.
What it does on your site
- Signs in with the workshop's own customer account.
- Searches by part number or name, and opens a product's page for its details: what the person at the workshop asked for.
- Adds parts to the workshop's cart and orders them, when the workshop orders.
It is not a crawler: it doesn't index or copy your catalogue, and nothing it reads is used to train models. It sends at most a few requests at a time per workshop.
It follows your robots.txt: the rules for User-agent: CarPartsAgent if there
are any, otherwise those for *. What they don't allow, it doesn't request.
How to recognise it
Every request is signed with Web Bot Auth
(HTTP Message Signatures) and carries Signature-Agent: "https://agent.enzenebner.com". The public key is in the
key directory.
